Ting! Ting! Ting! Ting!
Before we begin, please switch off your phones,
or put them on silent mode
Toilets are located at you-know-where
and in case of emergency, the exits are all around you.
A very good evening to the honorable judges, lecturers and friends.
We are from Class H.
the title of our story is “Pre and Post-Exam”. Enjoy!
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Bawang Merah.
“Hey! What talking you! Change the story la”.
“Ehm!… ehm!... Mind your English please!”
Okay shall we now start with our real story about the lives of Pre-University students.
“Matrix very easy!”
“FET is easier!”
“Matrix is fried nuts!”
“FET is white nuts!”
We filled our first half of semester one with happiness and enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!
Then came the first mid-sem exam!
We pushed and pushed and squeezed and squeezed our brain.
The horrible for days finally passed and we switched to enjoy mode again. (Enjoy!)(Hahaha).
“Hey! The results are here!”
“How is it?!”
“What the? NOO!”
Only one four flatter!
Half of us failed at least one subject!
We could see fire in the lecturer’s eyes.
Steam coming out of their ears.
And the principal couldn’t stop being angry.
And so, we were forced to join extra classes here and there.
We were so tensed!
Many chose to fly outside to release tension.
And some chose to go to the headmistress’ house and said
“Puan, we are hungry! You don’t want us to fly do you?”
Well then they did get fried rice from the headmistress.
Apart from being mischievous, we did study.
Thus, our results improved significantly in the first semester’s finals.
But some didn’t manage to acquire the results to continue to the 2nd semester.
They left us.
Heartbroken we were,
and even more saddening, our classes were split!
Where’s Salmi?
“She’s transferred to L class.”
And Shahir and Maliki and Nick?
“L class!”
My my, it saddened us more than the late MARA allowance.
* * *
Oh no! The second half of semester two has started.
“I’m so sad”
Why?
“The holiday has ended”
Well, what can we do? We have to study! Study! Study!
Classes here.
Homework there.
Quizzes here.
Assignment there.
“I think I’m going to faint!”
“Hi darling.. I busy.. We talk2 later ok!”
Busy! Busy! Busy!
When will it end! It’s boring!
Boring classes are the best sleeping pills.
Boring teachers are the greatest lullabies.
Our imaginations can come in handy….
We stare at the whiteboard,
And imagine a beautiful beach with white sands.
Imagining the palms, swaying in the breezy wind,
with waves rolling on the ocean bed
“Hey! Don’t sleep in class!”
Oops! Sorry!
***
“One week to final exam!”
Gosh! Gosh! Gosh!
So little time, so many learn.
Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Math, and English.
“Aaahh!!”
What?
“Tension!”
Chill. We still have one week to go.
We still have time to read notes, revise, and practice.
It’s never too late to start.
In the lecturers’ lounge,
Students flocked around their lecturers.
Some were squeezing last minute tips.
Some were there to share their nervous breakdowns.
Some were there just because they feel safe around them.
Our nights were troubled with bad dreams, horrible, terrible dreams!
“Arghh!”
What?
“I had a nightmare!”
Again?
“This time an F for Biology!”
Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!
Poor us!
But! Life must go on!
We need to suffer now for future’s pleasure.
We are the leaders of the future.
We ARE THE FUTURE!
No math equation is too hard.
No Biological fact is too complicated.
No Chemical bonds are too extreme.
No English essays are too long!
Nothing is impossible.
Studies must come first, life later.
Huh?
No way!
We need to balance our lives and studies!
“Like a chemical equation.”
“Oh please! Leave out stoichiometric equation for a moment.”
Yes! Yes!
We need to study with style quality excellence.
“The exam will start in 10 minutes.”
Finally, the exams are here.
SssHHhh!
No talking!
“Tick tock tick tock!”
“Kringgg!!”
Since when did we have bells?
Who cares?
In the script, we do!
Hey! The exams are finally over!
It is time to part with the college.
We are going to miss the scary canteen people,
The smell of the stream
The flies that shared our food.
-We shall miss ‘flying’ activities.-
-We shall miss the creepy crawlies under our bed.-
-Girls! That gross!-
“What about our results?”
“Hey! Don’t spoil our mood la macha!”
Yes! Don’t spoil the mood!
The results will come out when they comes out!
Till then, we shall enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!
Our memories in KMK will last forever.
We shall remember the lecture halls..
The canteen, The Summit Bukit Mertajam.
Seberang Prai Pacific Mall and most importantly,
We shall remember each other.
Thank You!
